Abstract: This paper introduces the monitoring system of LWD430W centrifuge sewage treatment system using RSView32 monitoring software of Rockwell Automation Company of the United States, and introduces in detail the manufacturing methods of basic items of monitoring system such as communication configuration, establishment of marking database and data recording, which can be used as a reference for relevant personnel.

1 Introduction to sewage treatment system of horizontal screw centrifuge
The controller of centrifuge sewage treatment system adopts American Rockwell Automation SLC500 processor, 13 slot rack and 1747-l542 processor with DH + communication port
The field operation man-machine interface is MT510T 10.4 inch color touch screen made in Taiwan, with RS232 communication mode
Control 18 motors of various powers and 8 Emerson frequency converters and other electrical equipment. The centrifuge adopts dual motor dual frequency conversion drive [1], in which the auxiliary motor is a variable frequency speed regulating motor with encoder. The system configuration is shown in Figure 1


2 monitoring requirements

The user is an old qualified sewage treatment plant built earlier. The control system of the whole plant adopts Rockwell automated DH + network. It uses belden#9463 cable to transmit data, and a 1784-pktx communication card is inserted into the upper computer, with a maximum communication distance of 3048 meters The newly built LWD430W centrifuge sewage treatment system is inserted into the original DH + network as a sub station. Therefore, the user requires to use Rockwell Automation RSView32 Chinese version 6.3 software to compile the monitoring screen The design principle is to monitor but not control, that is, the operation state of field equipment and various process parameters can be monitored on the upper computer, and remote control of equipment is not required


3 communication configuration

The primary task of making the monitoring system is communication configuration. Its purpose is to determine which PLC RSView32 is connected to on the network.
RSView32 can be connected to the controller in three ways: direct drive connection and OPC / DDE server connection. The communication setting of direct drive connection includes the configuration of channel and node. No channel setting is required for OPC / DDE server connection.
The system adopts OPC communication, and the configuration is shown in Figure 2. In the figure, the node name "lw430w" is the RSView32 project name; " "P" is the topic name of the OPC server.


4. Establish tag database

Define the data you want RSView32 to monitor in the tag database.
The tags are set up in three folders according to the cost:
Folder lw430w: place all analog quantities, most of which need to be recorded (see Figure 15)
Folder alarm: place all switching values that need to be alarmed
Folder run: place the operation status signals of all equipment
The generation of tag database is the most time-consuming of all human-computer interface projects. Direct input from the keyboard is only suitable for occasions with a small number of marks. In most cases, RSView32 database browser can be used to import from PLC database:
First, in the file save as... Dialog box of rslogix500, check the box in front of save data base as external files (Figure 4) and save the database as * CTD file
Then open RSView32 tag database browser and select *. For PLC database in the dialog box in Figure 5 CTD, click the search button and select the required tags to import them into the response folder.

5.1 main screen
The main screen shall fully reflect the whole process flow of centrifuge sewage treatment system, as shown in Figure 6. The main screen functions are as follows:
① Reflect the whole process flow of centrifuge sewage treatment: sludge inlet process, water inlet process, flocculant process and water discharge process
② Digital display of main process parameters: rotating speed, differential speed, pushing torque, mud inlet flow, dosing flow, flocculant ratio, liquid level of dosing device, etc
③ Lights show the operating status of each device (through animation / color)
④ The last alarm information is displayed at the bottom of the screen
In addition, on the main screen, there are switching buttons for each sub screen


5.2 sub screen

The sub screen includes alarm, trend, real-time data report, etc., as shown in Figure 7, 8, 9 and 10 respectively


6 data record

Open the data record settings and a dialog box appears. Figure 11 sets the format of data record in * DBF format storage, which can be opened in Microsoft Excel. The record file is stored in the dlglog folder under the project file (Figure 12). Figure 13 set the record file, create a new file every day and delete it after ten days. Figure 14 sets the recording to be performed once per second. Figure 15 set those marks and record them. After all settings are set, save it in the name of RSView.
After the data recording is set, install two buttons on the main screen. After the "start data recording" button is pressed, execute the command datalogon RSView. After the "close data recording" button is pressed, execute the command datalogoff RSView. Figure 16 shows the record file opened in Excel.


7 use experience

① The key to making the monitoring system is to set up the communication and establish the database. The OPC communication setting provided by RSView32 is very convenient and easy. The PLC database import function greatly reduces the workload of building the database, which shows the practicability of the software.
② After the monitoring system is completed, it often needs to be transplanted to another computer. Just copy the whole RSView32 project file to the target disk and run lw430w RSV is enough, and no additional operation is required. The project file contains the following folders: actlog; ALMLOG; DLGLOG; Cache; Comprf; Gfx; TAG; VBA; Lw430w. rsv。
③ RSView32 provides a trend chart in the RSView object and the gallery respectively. The trend chart provided by RSView object is in Chinese and the gallery is in English. The latter is easier to use than the former. This paper uses the trend chart provided by the map library. Its feature is that the real-time trend and historical trend can be switched on the same screen.
④ RSView32 can establish communication with PLC-5, SLC and Micrologix series controllers, as well as with ControlLogix, a new generation product of Rockwell Automation. The network level used can be Rockwell's ControlNet, DH +, DH485, TCP / IP and other networks.

⑤ RSView32 software can be installed on Windows 2000 or Windows XP operating system, and supports up to 100000 tags. The MMI products of ActiveX, visual basic application and OPC are used in graphic display to provide all necessary functions such as monitoring, control and data acquisition, which are convenient and unified.
